At least 8 million people have been affected by the Nepal Earthquake and more than 8,000 have died. Many victims also remain stranded due to landslides and damaged roads. Idyllic villages now lay destroyed - their homes of ancient brick and clay little more than piles of rubble. Survivors in Nepal are in desperate need of food, water, medical care and safe shelter. As Catholics, their cries of help break our hearts and move us to action. In response to their urgent needs, we have secured and airlifted tons of Emergency Health Kits to Nepal, and we are now preparing for a second phase of recovery for this disaster. This outreach will send additional medical supplies and food, as well as other very well needed items for recovering and rebuilding life after such a catastrophic disaster.
