A Lenten Message from Father Dan

Tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, begins the season of Lent. In a new book Change Our Hearts: Daily Meditations for Lent, author Rory Cooney calls the lectionary readings for Lent a "crash course in Christianity, a road map for the journey to Easter." The readings summon those studying to become Catholic to enter Christian life by rejecting sin and living the Gospel.

To deepen your own personal Lenten experience, we offer several books.

Fast, Pray, Give: Making the Most of Lent by Mary Carol Kendzia, and, for a Franciscan take on the Lenten Season, Lent with St. Francis by Diane M. Houdek or Lent with the Saints by Father Greg Friedman, O.F.M.

Franciscan Media seeks to help Christians grow closer to God by creating inspiring and innovative products in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, meeting individuals where they are on their personal faith journeys. Using every available technology, whether it's our digital version of the St. Anthony Messenger magazine or our digital magazine Liberty+Vine, our mission remains the same.

Could you help us continue our work? Would you consider sending $100, $200, or $500? Your tax-deductible donation in any amount helps us pay the costs of our publishing outreaches, including this e-newsletter.

Use our secure online donation form or mail a donation payable to Franciscan Media, 28 W. Liberty St., Cincinnati, OH 45202. If you prefer, you may phone in a credit card donation for our evangelization ministries to our customer service representatives at 513-241-5615 or, in the U.S., 800-488-0488.

Peace and every blessing,
